Carsten Zielke will be part of the Project Task Force (PTF) made up from a broad range of stakeholders with a legitimate interest in non-financial information, spanning the public sector, private sector, SMEs and civil society from across the EU.
Carsten Zielke’s company, Zielke Research Consult GmbH has analysed CSR reports of German insurance companies for the last three years and will extend this analysis to banks this year. They have developed analytical criteria purely based on published information and have witnessed that some companies are willing to share more detailed and meaningful information than others. This information is valued by brokers and individuals who are looking for an environmentally friendly insurance company.
With six years’ experience at EFRAG TEG, 20 years in the insurance working group and more than ten in the user panel Dr Zielke will be able to share his standard setting experience to relate the non-financial information to the financial.
The project will be operated by this PTF within the European Corporate Reporting Lab@EFRAG (European Lab). The term of the appointment is for the duration of the project which is expected to be completed in early 2021 with a progress report at the end of October 2020.
