The European Capital Markets Institute (ECMI) published their commentary in July 2020: ESG resilience during the Covid crisis: Is green the new gold? The analysis in the commentary shows that investors’ preference for ESG compared to conventional funds has not lessened during the Covid-19 crisis. The authors, Jean-Jaques Barbéris and Marie Brière, argue that at the EU level the focus on ESG is likely to remain strong for asset managers and institutional investors and that on a policy level, this has been supported so far by the Action Plan on Sustainable Finance and will continue with the upcoming Renewed Strategy.
EFFAS is represented on the board of the ECMI by our Executive Committee member Hans Buysse. If you are interested in learning more about ESG you could visit www.effas-academy.com and discover how to become a certified ESG Analyst, a certification that is in high demand in the world of finance.
