The Ceface Country Risk Conference Romania is a catalyst of ideas and debates within the national business community, in 2016 being celebrated its XII edition. Throughout the years the event gathered the statute of one of the most prestigious business events in Romania and experienced an accelerated growth from one year to another in terms of specialists attending the event and the representativeness of the business environment.
This year edition was organized at Hilton Athene Palace Hotel in Bucharest, on 18th of October, and gathered 350 participants from the middle and top management of large companies in Romania, and almost 30 journalists and media representatives.
Structured in a one day event, Country Risk Conference aims to cover all the major aspects of the macroeconomic challenges of the period and the ones of the business environment in Europe, focusing on CEE and Romania. Its topics offer the audience a broad perspective of the key risks that impact their businesses and provide useful findings in establishing business strategies for the next year.
Mr. Friedrich Mostboeck, Deputy Chairman, EFFAS & Head of Group Research & Chief Analyst, Erste Group Bank AG, participated to the conference as a honored speaker in the principal panel, together with Sir. Howard Davis (President of the Royal Bank of Scotland & Former Deputy Governor, Bank of England) and Ms. Marie Albert, Head of Country Risk, Ceface. The presentation of Mr. Friedrich focused on the Central Eastern Europe business opportunities and risks, including: different phases of the crisis, debt crisis challenges and solutions to reduce sovereign debt, CEE growth and fundamentals.
The invitation to Mr. Friedrich was addressed by the Romanian Association of Financial-Banking Analysts (AAFBR), which is affiliated and member of EFFAS international partners. AAFBR was co-organizer and principal partner to this event, the second panel being represented by the AAFBR President and Ceface Services Director, Mr. Iancu Guda, together with members from the AAFBR Board.
