Prof. Otto Lucius, Member of the Austrian society ÖVFA, has been awarded the Medal of Honour in Gold by VÖIG. VÖIG is the trade Association of asset management companies in Austria.
On 29 April 2015, Heinz Bednar, President of VÖIG, and Dietmar Rupar, Secretary General of VÖIG, handed over the Medal of Honour. By this decoration, VÖIG recognized the long and outstanding merits of Prof. Lucius for education and training in the field of asset management.
EFFAS and ÖVFA join in congratulating Prof. Lucius for this highest decoration VÖIG can award.
Following the above event, it is EFFAS high pleasure to announce that its Board also appointed this spring Prof. Otto Lucius as new Chair of the TQC Commission. EFFAS is thrilled and honored that Prof. Lucius accepted this mandate and takes the chance to address a warm thank you to Mr. Luc Keuleneer, previous Chairman, for the great work done in this Commission.
The next TQC Meeting will be held in Budapest on
Tuesday, September 22, 2015
upon kind invitation of the Hungarian society HCMPS. Said event will be preceded by a welcome dinner on the prior evening. The meetings of the TQC Commission are open to every representative of a national member society occupied with training and qualification.
For reminder, the TQC is a standing Commission of EFFAS. Its main tasks are to provide advice to the Executive Management Committee of EFFAS on all issues relating to training and qualification, and to evaluate the accreditations of professional designations at EFFAS and its national members' societies with its Review Panel.
The Commission meets two times a year. There are a number of permanent agenda items, i.e. presentations by members' societies and training schools on the training and qualification programs and structures in their markets. Also, the commission members exchange their experiences with programs that are run parallel by several members' societies, such as the CEFA and the CIIA.
