At the end of this year, EFFAS and CISI have reached an agreement allowing the EFFAS Members to offer in their country the CISI qualifications.
The CISI has become a full member of EFFAS on 2011 and, with their more than 40,000 members in 110 countries, has set during last year almost 37,000 examinations in 74 countries, covering a range of vocational qualifications.
In addition to these designations, CISI will start offering to all of its members the CIIA designation as of September 2015.
The CISI is a not for profit organization, whose mission is to set standards of professional excellence and integrity for the securities and investment industry, providing qualifications and promoting the highest level of competence to their members, other individuals and firms. Therefore, the CISI and EFFAS have agreed to collaborate to allow all EFFAS National Member Societies to offer CISI qualifications under specific terms.
The CISI will grant exclusivity as an Accredited Training Provider (hereinafter referred to as “ATP”) in their own country to any NMS accredited as an ATP for a period of two (2) years once a minimum threshold of examinations has been achieved over a period of twelve (12) months. Countries where CISI has existing relationships preventing exclusivity are: Germany; Greece; Kazakhstan; Netherlands; Poland; Russia; Spain; Sweden; Turkey; and Ukraine.
The CISI does not offer training but works with ATPs who provide training for CISI qualifications, becoming partners and distributors. The CISI will seek to accredit as an ATP any NMS which requests to be accredited to provide training for CISI examinations.
CISI will support any NMS in its promotion of CISI qualifications within their respective country.
